With a great performance Russia’s Dinamo Kazan, of our players Maria Borisenko, Olga Khrzhanovskaya, Megumi Kurihara, Marina Babeshina and Regina Moroz, won the first match of 1/4 finals of the 2012 CEV Volleyball Champions League against Azerrail Baku 3:1 (22:25, 25:23, 25.22, 25:21). After this match Dinamo Kazan is just one step away from Final four in Baku. Maria Borisenko was awarded as the best blocker of the match with 6 winning blocks, and at the same time she scored 11 points in four sets, while Regina Moroz made 8 points for Dinamo Kazan. The match that will determine 2012 CEV Champions League Final four participant will be played in Baku, on March 1st. |

In the new round of Korean championship IBK Altos, of our player Olesia Rykhliuk, defeated Heungkuk 3:2 (18:25, 21:25, 25:22, 25:16, 15:9) after 1.50 minutes on the court. Heungkuk started well and easily won first two sets, but than IB Altos set their game pace and leveled on 2:2. In the fifth set IBK Altos dominated and finished that set with 15:9. Once again Rykhliuk was the best scorer of the match with 35 points scored. In the next round IBK will host current leader of Korean championship - KGC. The match will be played on March 3rd at 16h (local time). |

Romania’s 2004 Tomis Constanta, of our players Jovana Vesovic and Marina Vujovic, scored a great and unexpected home win against the Russian team Dinamo Krasnodar, of Olga Fateeva, Daria Talysheva and Neriman Ozsoy, in the first round of CEV Cup Challenge Round 2012. Constanta defeated Krasnodar after 130 minutes on the court with 3:2 (25:23, 24:26, 25:21, 22:25,15:13). Jovana Vesovic scored 19 points for Constanta, while Fateeva made 16 points for Krasnodar. Libero Marina Vujovic was awarded as the best receiver of the match with 65% of perfect reception. The team who will go to the semifinals of the CEV Cup will be known on March 1st , after the return match in Russia |

Galatasaray Istanbul, of our players Rosir Calderon Diaz and Marina Miletic, easily downed Crvena Zvezda Beograd of Serbia, in the first match of CEV Volleyball Cup 2012 Challenge Round by scoring a home win 3:0 (25:14, 25:19, 25:16). Some 1.200 fans were in attendance at “Burhan Felek” Volleyball Hall with the home side enjoying a great performance of Galatasaray. The team from Istanbul, mentored by Serbian head coach Dragan Nesic, finished it off in straight sets, with Cuban Rosir Calderon top scoring with 18 points well supported by Hanikoglu with 17 points. The team that will finally make it to the semis of the CEV Cup will be determined next March 1st upon completion of the return game in Serbia. |

Dinamo Krasnodar, of our players Olga Fateeva, Daria Talysheva and Neriman Ozsoy, won 3:0 (26:24, 25:20, 25:21) in the match against Zarechie Odintsovo, of Natalia Alimova, Ekaterina Bogacheva and Daria Belokorovkina. After this match Krasnodar is on the fourth position of Russian championship with 35 points. In the same round Uralochka, of our players Maryna Maroukhnich, Strashimira Filipova, Irina Zaryazhko, Natalia Nazarova and Irina Smirnova, defeated Tyumen, of Maria Bruntseva, 3:1 (22:25, 25:20, 25:16, 25:21). Uralochka is now on the second position with 40 points, while the first placed Dinamo Kazan scored 42 points from 18 rounds. |
